As a new entrant in the VSaaS and security space, ARCADIAN.AI attended ISC West in March 2023, and we were grateful to everyone who visited us and shared their expert opinions with us. The feedback we received was truly insightful and helped us better understand the needs of our partners and customers.
If you visited our booth, you would have noticed something unique that caught everyone's attention - our Experience Board! In this blog post, we'll discuss the outcome of our board and how it helped us in building a safer tomorrow for all.
BACKGROUND
At ARCADIAN.AI, we believe in making security truly user-centric from the ground up. Our development process is centred around our partners' and customers' needs, preferences, and pain points. Gathering feedback from you throughout the software release process is critical in creating products that are efficient and effective in essentially enhancing the quality of life. We use this feedback to design better security solutions that cater to your day-to-day needs. Plus, who said security can't be fun?
THE QUESTIONS
The Experience Board we designed was curated to gain insights into our partners' and customers' perspectives on security. We created a board with five primary questions that touched upon core areas and pain points in the security and surveillance monitoring industry. Booth visitors were encouraged to grab a pin and rate their answers from 1-10, creating a colorful and interactive board that added a fun and engaging element to the security event.
Here are the questions we asked on a scale of 1-10:
- How secure do you feel your business is?
- How often do you check your camera's live streams?
- How much do you trust monitoring footage by human sight?
- How satisfied are you with the current cost of your security investments?
- Would data ownership and privacy be dramatically re-imagined in 10 years?
THE OUTCOME
The outcome of the Experience Board was significant in helping us understand our partners' and customers' perspectives and design products that better meet their needs. The results of the survey were as follows:
- How secure do you feel your business is?
72% of participants answered between 8-10 to this question, indicating they feel very secure. This is a positive indicator of the security industry and how it has progressed in recent years. It also suggests that businesses are taking security seriously and investing in appropriate measures to protect their assets. However, the remaining 28% who did not rate their security as highly may represent an opportunity for companies like ARCADIAN.AI to provide additional solutions that address their concerns.
- How often do you check your camera's live streams?
Only 20% of participants answered with a score below 3, meaning they do not often have to watch video footage. This could indicate a lack of awareness or concern for potential security threats, or it may suggest that businesses have implemented sufficient measures that allow them to focus on other tasks. However, the remaining 80% who rated their checking frequency higher may indicate a need for more efficient ways to monitor security footage, such as AI-powered real-time alerting solutions. This presents an opportunity for companies like ARCADIAN.AI to offer such solutions to improve security monitoring.
- How much do you trust monitoring footage by human sight?
More than 95% of participants answered a score of 5 or less, demonstrating the necessity of intelligent video security monitoring to reduce false alerts, find events and incidents quickly, and save on monitoring costs. This indicates a widespread distrust in human monitoring and suggests that AI-powered solutions may be more effective and efficient. It also highlights the need for security solutions that use intelligent algorithms and analytics to provide accurate and reliable results.
- How satisfied are you with the current cost of your security investments?
More than 60% of participants gave a score below 5 to the question of how satisfied they are with the current cost of their security investments. This suggests that many businesses feel that the cost of security is too high and may be looking for more cost-effective solutions. The fact that ARCADIAN.AI offers a cost-effective self-served VSaaS platform with a 60-day free trial and no cancellation fees may appeal to these businesses.
- Would data ownership & privacy be dramatically re-imagined in 10 years?
All our experience board participants answered a 9 or a 10 to the question of whether data ownership and privacy would be dramatically reimagined in 10 years. This indicates a high level of concern for data privacy and ownership and suggests that businesses are looking for solutions that prioritize these issues. It also presents an opportunity for companies like ARCADIAN.AI to lead the charge in developing decentralized apps within the security industry that offer greater control and privacy to users.
Overall, the results of the Experience Board demonstrate the importance of user-centric product design and gathering feedback from users throughout the design process.
